Star Gazing at Buckeye Skyline Regional Park - June 18, 2022



Astrophotography 102 - July 9, 2022 - A follow up course for the next level of AP hobbyist titled Astrophotography 102 is scheduled.  If you have interest in the class, you can find a description at : https://www.focusastro.org/astrophotography102class .  The class will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  The cost will be $20 for members and $35 for non-members. Grand Canyon Star Party - June 18 to 25, 2022 – Astronomy Association of AZ will be participating with the Grand Canyon National  Park with approximately 15-20 telescopes for the week.  Members interested in attending should make reservations for a place to stay immediately.  9,000 people attended the event at the last in-person event in 2019 and more are expected in 2022.  Here is a link for more information:

International Observe the Moon Night - October 1, 2022 - time and location TBD.  


Cubesat Update - October 17, 2011 - Doug Walker, PhD, AAA Director of Education, will provide a comprehensive update on the Association's satellite project.


Mars Opposition – December 8, 2022 - Redmond Field, Buckeye, AZ - Youth program on the Mars Perseverance Rover, including a lecture by a guest astronomer.  Time TBD
